Frequently asked questions

What is counselling and how can it help me?

Counselling is a professional service that provides support and guidance to individuals facing personal, emotional, or psychological challenges. It can help you gain insights into your problems, develop coping strategies, and improve your overall well-being.

How do I know if I need counselling?

You might benefit from counselling if you are experiencing persistent feelings of sadness, anxiety, stress, or if you are struggling with relationship issues, grief, or any other personal challenges. Counselling can provide a safe space to explore these feelings and find ways to manage them.

What can I expect during a counselling session?

During a counselling session, you will have the opportunity to talk about your concerns in a confidential and non-judgmental environment. Your counsellor will listen, ask questions, and help you explore your thoughts and feelings.

How many counselling sessions will I need?

The number of sessions needed varies depending on the individual and the issues being addressed. Some people may find a few sessions sufficient, while others may benefit from longer-term counselling.

Is counselling confidential?

Yes, counselling is confidential. Your counsellor is bound by professional ethics to keep your information private. There are some exceptions, such as if there is a risk of harm to yourself or others, but these will be discussed with you during your first session.

My location

I work from private room located in Canterbury City Centre (close to bus/train station and parking), and see clients from the surrounding areas. I will provide location details when we arrange our counselling sessions.

In addition to providing face-to-face therapy, I also offer online counselling in UK via Zoom.
